The training program for Khateeb Development Workshop is divided into four modules. The first step is to REGISTER FOR THE WORKSHOP HERE and not wait until the last minute because there are essential prerequisites that the khateebs need to complete before the first in-person session at MCGP, Princeton. 

Please review the following information and plan accordingly:


AGENDA 

I. PREREQUISITES: (Must be completed prior to the training) 

1. All trainees must Memorize Khutbat al-Hajja

2. Bring a sample khutba written by you on a topic of your choice (2 pages maximum)

3. Your Biography + Photo + include fun facts about yourself.


II. ONLINE REVIEW MATERIAL:

1. Fiqh of Jumuah

2. Surah al-Jumua'

3. Conquering Public Speaking Fears

4. Checklist for Khateebs - A checklist of important tasks before, during, and after your khutbah.

 

III. IN-PERSON TRAINING DAY 1 - MCGP (Princeton)

 First Day of your training as a speaker/khateeb. 

1. A Short Guide to Public Speaking

2. The Essential Fiqh of Jumua

3. How to Write a Better Khutba

Breakout Session: Rehearse Khutbatul Hajjah & Quran Recitation 

 

IV. IN-PERSON TRAINING DAY 2 - MCMC (Piscataway)

1. Good and Bad Khutba/Topics.

2. The Khutbah Checklist 

3. Panel Discussions by local Imams and new khateebs
